Soekris 4511 in outdoor case - configured as 802.11AP in bridge mode
Posted September 3rd, 2004 by mikemee

Here is our neatest mounting so far of a 4511 (thanks Ben). He used an outdoor (tv) cable box with a trimmed "99cent store" cutting board as a mounting board. This allows full serial port access by just opening the box. The antenna lead is mounted to the left hand side, so the door can be fully opened without removing the pigtail. The ethernet cable comes through one of the waterproof punchouts conveniently provided on the bottom. These cases are $12 from Ecomm-Wireless (part number CG-1000). Software is Pebble configured to bridge eth0 to the Atheros a/b/g card running in 802.11a mode. Power is via PoE.
